One obvious question of creating a Code Geass set: what colour does Lelouch go? He's such a complex character: at times motivated incredibly selflessly, at times utterly selfish; the noblest of aims but willing to use very extreme means to get there.

As discussed over on Named Characters / Legendary Creatures, one approach to Lelouch would be to have multiple cards for him, perhaps in different colours. They wouldn't all be named "Lelouch" or be Legendary, but they could be named things like "Black Knight Strategist", "Battlefield Chessmaster", "Ruthless General", "Usurper to the Throne", and so on.

There's precedent for this in printed MtG. Master of Arms is a non-Legendary creature representing Gerrard of the Weatherlight (printed long before his actual card Gerrard Capashen). I think some of the nonlegendary Ravnica creature cards represent characters who have names in the story too.

Mechanics could include things like:

> Whenever you cast a spell from exile, draw a card. / Whenever you cast a spell from exile, you may copy that spell and choose new target for the copy.

To work with the Prepare mechanic, but phrased to be backwards compatible with rebound, suspend, maybe one or two other things.

> {t}: Look at the top 4[ish] cards of your library. You may cast an instant card from among them (paying its mana cost). Put the rest on the bottom of your library in any order.

He's the master of combat tricks.

> You may pay up to {2} less to activate abilities of cards in your hand.
> You may activate abilities of cards in your hand any time you could cast an instant.

He makes preparing plans look effortless. This also works with cycling (perhaps too well - it's a Fluctuator).

> Prevent all combat damage that would be dealt to attacking creatures you control.

Because it seems likely that the Black Knights mechanic will involve attacking with creatures, a Dolmen Gate / Iroas effect would be handy.
