As in, green mana spent on {x} doesn't count? In which case you should use "Y" in the text box because it's not the same as the "X" in the mana cost.

Or "Put X 1/1 green insect tokens into play. Spend only non-green mana on X." Although it feels strange that you can't: perhaps it should make flying tokens, so green gives token-making and non-green gives flying?
