Apparently I can't have two loyalty sides... so I guess no counters.

Mm, yeah, sorry about that. Night-side planeswalkers assume that they'll be transforming once they're on the battlefield, like Garruk Relentless, so they don't have a loyalty shield; but there are plenty of use cases where people might want a loyalty shield on the back side, like this, or anything like Loyal Cathar.

Although in this case, the first ability looks like a lot of words for something equivalent to "transform ~"... why not just say "When ~ has 5 or more loyalty counters on it, transform it"?

I want to use my new keyword Destabilize, which differs from transform in that a) you can do it at any time b) it's an activated ability and c) you actually cast the back side (whioh means it can get countered).

made him more powerful as Nu, VoC and made his transformation an activated ability within an activated ability. Cuz he's special

Nu, in Egyptian Mythology, is the primordial nothingness. In Weljed, Nu is an old-walker that uttered the Origin Glyph and conceived the plane millions of years ago. (Spoiler, Weljed is an artificial plane) He (she?) came back in the wake of Ma'at being broken, and upon seeing the chaos, attempts to undo the Word, and with it the plane of Weljed (Wel'jed?). But he found out the magic he now wields has puzzling effects on the plane of Weljed...

I'd just like to point out that transform, as an keyword action, is very happy living inside an activated ability that can be activated at any time; see for example Diffuse Essence. So your a) and b) motivations aren't needed. c) is valid, though I'm not sure it's worth adding a new keyword that's deliberately just a more vulnerable version of an existing keyword action.

I guess. But I can't just change destabilize into transform, because most double-faced cards I have are Permanent/Spell splits.

it's like transform, but it transforms from a creature to a sorcery.
