Bwahaha. That's silly. It's nice that you can let it go up to 49, and then decline to pay the cumulative upkeep rather than lose. It's very silly that it turns Healing Salve into a win-the-game instant!
It looks more like a rare than a mythic to me.
I'll change it to rare. The card itself is a bit of a trap since it requires heavy math and adds up quickly it someone just lets it slide and gets caught on it they are doomed. I'm also thinking of changing the second part to just have you lose when your life total gets to 50 or passes it at any time.

This is a weird card. 50 is a rather arbitrary number. I would rather it be 40, honestly. It makes more "sense" in that it's twice your starting life total, and is also the same "distance" as going from 20 to 0 life.
I set it at fifty as a riff on Test of Endurance
Felidar Sovereign does it better.
40 has ever so slight problems in Commander format, though.
^^ That to0. Also I run a warden deck in casual play and 40 life is surprisingly easy to get to. Then again 4x Each of Soul Warden Essence Warden Soul's Attendant Suture Priest will do that.
