Basic dragon shaman ability, fine, makes whelps, fine fine... Minus TWELVE? That'd better be a stupid powerful ability. +2? That's tiny! And.. double... oooh. Oh boy.

I think you hit the right note there. It's ridiculous, it's aspirational - and wow it's stompy. Hitting ALL the right notes for the people who run dragons in the first place. (Also, double-dragon jokes.)
