Evidently, the world needed to see what happens when we combine Mesa Pegasus and Panic Attack. It fills a hole, so I can't complain. The part that bugs me the most, though, is that I couldn't get the flavor text to work. Something about requiring 'true love' to robot unicorn attack, sure, but I couldn't get how that makes people panic. Not in 15 words or less, at least.
This seems generally better than Firefist Striker.
Mmm. Noted. There's a number of differences, but you're probably right that this is probably too far over the top. Anybody got a good idea what the cost should be? I think we can increase the p/t, too, if needed.
Now I'm imagining a robot unicorn with a robotic Jar-Jar Binks face, proclaiming "MEESA MECHA MOUNT". ...Thanks for that.
As for the card: ...It's very swingy. It'll do nothing until you assemble battalion, and then suddenly your whole team is basically unblockable. This particular card being flying is particularly harsh as, even if they have four blockers, they're very unlikely to have four flyer blockers, so it means they can't block-and-kill the thing enabling the massive strikes.
I fear this effect basically wants to be uncommon. And perhaps quite a bit larger, like 4/4 flyer for 5. However I'm aware neither of those fit the hole / the constraints of the mashup.
To be more suited for a Pegasus-sized common, I'd suggest toning down the Panic Attack to panic a single creature.
Or maybe "sacrifice ~: Panic 3 target creatures"
Thought that's still in the "too complex for common" hole (like banding isn't)
Maybe as an ETB effect? "Oooh look! Shiny! {thwack}"
Sac effects are fine for common, as long as the oneoff effect is itself common-suitable, which Panic Attack clearly is.
Moved to the workbench and altered the stats a little. It's true: this is one of those odd cards that can't be anything but an uncommon. It misses rare status due to a combination of having a drawback plus being too straightforward. One is excusable at rare, but not both together.
Back to the drawing board.
When i have to read an uncommon three-four times. It's bad design, i love it haha!
Yeah, this card in the workbench will probably never see the light of day, now that Sursi Thickethoof was made using the same base cards. I think I'll delete it soon, since the only thing it could hope to do is distract me from other things I should be doing.
