Mysterious :) (It was just "Obvious mash is obvious" when I wrote this comment)

Random generator gave me Unhallowed Pact and Unholy Strength. The obvious thing to do would be to add Unholy Strength to Unhallowed Pact... and... yeah. I guess that's it.

Alternatively, you could... make a 2/1 creature that puts a 2/1 token on the battlefield when it dies? That's both unexciting, and derivative. I also thought about doing this:

Enchantment - Aura
When enchanted creature dies, return that card to the battlefield under your control. It gets +2/+1 and gains haste. Sacrifice that creature at the next end of turn.

Which is kind of... kind of messy. In fact, a lot of ideas I came up with was messier than the obvious choice. You'd think two enchant creatures about making unholy pacts with the devil would yield a good result... but meh.

Though, I do find it cute that you can put both lines of text on the creature, and roughly keep the same casting cost.

Okay, setting this aside for now. It doesn't have to go into Alpha, but I got to find a solution for this before I make another card.

It may be a very obvious mashup, but that doesn't mean it's a bad one. There have been a few variations on Unhallowed Pact / False Demise in the past; Shade's Form was an interesting one, and there was even Squee's Embrace. A pump aura that also serves as a natural black take on Totem Armour doesn't seem like a bad space to carve out.

Yeah, I decided it wasn't such a terrible thing. Especially since I want some easy lay-ups for people to be able to recognize both parts of a mashup, and both Workbench and Alpha have very few of those.

That said, I couldn't help having the flavor point fun at how unoriginal the mashup is. ;)

It's interesting - the original card was half "Make my creature come back" and half "Steal opponents creature"

This one is still both; but much more like "Unholy totem strength" than the stealing half. I don't have a better suggestion, mind you. I'd probably have gone with Bear Umbra
