The Aysai defy death, wholly and completely. They believe that death is an affliction of the weak, and therefore seek to overcome it through strength of body, mind, and spirit. King Ginsae of Aysai claims to have been alive since the start of the Great Game, and he plays it to increase his own strength as well as that of his nation. Once he holds the Ivory Throne, King Ginsae believes that his control of the other nations will allow him access to their power, and to other potential ways to subvert the circle of life.
