When Zol first surfaced as a power seven years ago, the other countries had little belief that it would even hold together as a coherent nation. Consisting primarily of a chain of volcanic islands off of Avoren's west coast, Zol is inhabited by sentient elementals.
Flamekin and Windkin Zolites follow the idea of personified Chaos. They desire to abolish the Great Game and return Avoren to an ancient state, where law holds no sway and every being can live according to its desire. Despite their hatred of it, Zolites play thet Great Game well, seeking to destroy it from within by claiming the Ivory Throne. Windkin spies easily infiltrate the courts of the other players, and, for a price, grant the information they gain to other countries.
