Random generator gave me Wall of Brambles and Turn To Frog. I need to hole-fill for a green common, and this is the Magic equivalent of a no-brainer.
...which bores the crud out of me. I don't play Mashup: the Gathering because it's easy. Hmm... looks like I could use a blue rare as well. Which makes a better card for its commonality? Turn to Brambles, or this card?:
Silkwart Brambles

Creature - Plant Wall
Rare
Defender
Whenever ~ blocks a creature, that creature becomes a 1/1 blue Frog until end of turn.
2/3
I should probably mention the fact that the set does have a regeneration matters theme. You know... just to make it harder to choose.
Hmm... the auto-card fails me on this one. This would be a continuation of the flavor text from the Revised version Wall of Brambles (or another part of the poem, to be more precise.)
1/4 rather than 2/3?
Oh, hey, that's right. Wall of Brambles, not Wall of Bone. You can tell which one I played a lot more. :p
Well; either way it would usually kill the frog. Which is kinda how old magic did tend to do things - flavour; and to hell with "We could just give it deathtouch you know?"
This is pretty fun as it is though - a one-turn nerf of an opponents fatty; or an expensive way to save one of your own creatures. It works.
