I need help with this one. Does it work?

Oooj, takes a couple of reading. So this kinda self-storms for free, until it runs out of things it can kill+exile, then it gets in one last 2-damage shot.

Seems somewhat potent. But a very nice answer to token decks, while being an overpriced Shock if they've only got big stuff.

I think my issue with it is that it's mainly just a more complicated Pyroclasm. The benefits are that it causes more cast triggers, ups the storm count, and lets you choose targets... is that work the complexity and extra cost?

Well; it's one-sided, which pyroclasm isn't. That's a bigger benefit.

But as I said; I had to read it a couple of times to figure out what it did.

It seems like it does the same thing as "Deal 2 damage to any number of target creatures or players". The 'benefit' of doing it the printed way is that you get to play targeting games (and storm games). That's tough. It's a fun card, but I think Vitenka's multiple readings is a reason why it might be more fun for the designer than it is for the user.

Delayed triggers also seem like they could cause problems. Imagine that you deal eventually use this to deal 2 damage to a creature with toughness 3 or greater. Later that turn, that creature's controller allows it to die for an unrelated reason. Consuming Fever's delayed trigger goes off and you get to deal a bunch more damage with no one expecting it.

Well, presumably it wouldn't be that much more damage, since the caster would probably have wiped the board of 2-toughness creatures before hitting anything bigger. And this doesn't hit players.
