Seems like a somewhat overly-blue Clone. Interesting use of blues "I get odd protection, muahaha" though.

Might be more natural (and cost justifying) as an enchantment that transforms into target creature, rather than an aura?

Reminds me of Evil Twin. It is interesting to have a Rite of Replication that you can split the payment for across two turns, and being an Aura has its own benefits and drawbacks. (Reminds me a little of Followed Footsteps from that point of view.)
