So... any time I could cast a sorcery, I may a) exile this from my hand for free, and b) pay
to put it into play? How is that not just equivalent to being able to cast it for 
?
Well; it has the ability to be cast from exile, and can exile itself, or be exiled in other ways too. But it does make the flat-cast cost a bit pointless.
