Landwalk is very conditional. Having it as a one-shot effect makes it even more. On the other hand, when it works, it's usually very swingy in Limited. I'd not use landwalk myself. Try another ability maybe.
And while you're at it, try another body. A one-drop (especially a common) is not exactly the kind of card that should need something on the battlefield going on already.
Your second and third comments seem to cancel each other out. The ability won't do much on turn 1, but you could potentially save it for a later time if you don't think the 1/1 will be useful. And it's not so swingy because it's a oneoff. This certainly isn't exciting, but I think this is fine.
Sorry to ramble so much about landwalk being swingy, when the matter was a one-shot effect. :P
This is a bit subjective, I agree, but I personally think that Foundry Street Denizen and Welkin Guide make much more sense than if they had their mana costs inverted, for example.
Its basically a sorcery that sticks around as a 1/1 now.
