Does need to be silver-bordered because that reminder text doesn't work in black-bordered world. But it's a pretty awesome silver-bordered card.
Amusing to somehow put this onto the battlefield under an opponent's control, attached to, say, a Merfolk of the Pearl Trident. Or perhaps a Plague Sliver.
