I don't think you need to say both "X or more" and "X or less."

Oh, good point. Thanks.

Can I search out a bunch of Memnites and Dryad Arbors at any old time and have them attacking even if it isn't the combat phase?

I'm so used to typing "X or less" that I didn't even realize I had typed it. That seems like it shouldn't work anyway, because 0 creatures can't attack.

Heh, yes - I'll just search out all my thopters as soon as this hits the table :)

Whenever you attack, you may search your deck for a creature with a casting cost equal or less than the number of attacking creatures etc. perhaps? That way at least I only get one a turn.

But YOU don't attack, so that won't work. Also, why do you think you can search for all of your 0-cost creatures when this comes out?

"At the beginning of your declare attackers step, you may search your library for a creature card with CMC X or less, where X is the number of attacking creature you control." How's that? You still get a free 0-drop if you wish each turn.

Old wording, instantly searching everything out: My priority. No creatures of mine attacking? Trigger this. Repeat as needed.

New wording: I think beginning of declare attackers is too soon - at that point you won't be able to make X on zero yet. But "When you declare an attack" would probably be fine. Maybe "after"?

Forgot shuffle clause. Oops.

Vitenka, how does that work? This is a triggered ability. If nothing is attacking, it's not being triggered. Right?

If this said "are attacking," I could see how what you're saying would be an issue... Maybe I'm being thick, but I'm just not getting it.

I was wrong, Vitenka, and Windbrisk Heights shows that. Sorry! The wording is now close to one you proposed.

Made it work for everybody instead of just you. Seemed more red that way.

Oooh, very much. And it gets to be lovely and cheap because of it.
