I considered that modern Magic might want "Basic lands you control enter the battlefield untapped," but I like the group hug style.

Not intended to be relevant to the death game idea, I wanted a physical manifestation of the plane of Evnertol becoming alive again. Green naturally feels like the color that would get that representation if only a single card was getting that honor.
