Awesome! Turn something into a phantasm! Possibly being repeatable is a bit too good for common; the card would be playable without the repetition. It's a much more interesting card with the repetition, but rather less suitable for common, I fear.

yeah lose the repeatable & drop the cost to {1}{u} andd you have a cool common that I'd happily run in my blue deck. Kudos
(and if may say, I was concerned about DFCs at first but there is a LOT of design space they open up. The only major issue I see with them at the moment is interacting with morph/face down)

They don't interact with morph. What's the issue? It's like trying to transform a normal card: nothing happens.

True there is no interaction at the moment, I may have been thinking about cards on multiverse that can give things morph and it is a design space that could be looked at in the future so maybe I should have said "potential interaction with Morph in the future" sorry

I rather dig this card. I am a bit confused as to why the phantasm is enchanting any creature, however, instead of the creature it dealt combat damage to...

MaRo's discussion on Soul Seizer, the inspiration for this card: "The earliest version of this card required the creature to get into combat with the creature it took control of as we were trying to match the flavor as close as possible. What we found, though, was that the opponent just didn't block with anything you wanted to steal. Also, because it flew for flavor reasons, it was much harder to get things to block it. Defensively, it kept the opponent from attacking, which never leads to a good game state." http://www.wizards.com/magic/magazine/article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/mm/177

Oh, hey, I read that first line as "Whenever ~ deals damage to a creature..." Okay, that makes more sense. That being said, I know where MaRo is coming from when he says that "Nobody every attacked into this guy so that you could get the cool effect to go off", but that isn't exactly this. I think many players would be happy to see their opponents not attack with their giant creature because a silly little phantasm is in the way. Many times, even, you won't have a targeting spell in your hands to back this up, and your opponent will still refuse to attack/block. That has the potential to make you happy, not sad.

That being said, I think both versions are rather legit.
