Welcome back! Only three cards in magic have asked you to choose a card type (Blood Oath, Fertile Imagination and Vigean Intuition). There's clearly space for a few more.
I didn't want 'protection from creatures' to be the usual default answer, so I effectively gave this creature Shadow. It still won't bow to a Master Decoy, but it's also not a super wall this way. This pushed the card into blue. A long time ago, Wizards talked about giving blue 'protection from card types' to white's 'protection from color'. Cute idea, but never executed. Maybe it's a stretch now to give blue protection like this, but it doesn't seem terrible. If you want a white/blue creature, though, go for it.
