Colorshifted Wandering Thornmaw.

I just liked the idea of a walking cactus-beast so much for Phlea.

Two of these make the entire world explode. This seems like the kind of design Wizards would put "triggers only once each turn" on

I don't know. It only wipes the board of creatures. And it costs ten mana to do by yourself. I felt exploding like that was part of the charm.

Now I want to do Polyraptor things to it

I do like the idea of this. I did on the green version (though the ability is much more red, so this makes more sense). The normal use of this charging off to the front lines, then throwing spikes everywhere, harming ally and enemy alike, is very fun.

Sadly - two of these with a Darksteel Plate (or any other kind of 'won't die this turn' effect) will cause an infinite loop and everything halts, since it's non-optional. Which... well, the easy fix is just to add a 'may' which would hurt the flavour, sadly.

The even easier fix is still just to make this legendary so that you really have to jump through hoops to get the infinite loop set up.

I suppose the easiest fix is to trigger only on combat damage. This is not Ixalan; there is no need for this to follow exactly the enrage pattern.

Meh. I'll have to ponder this a bit. I'm thankful for the input.
