A cycle of reprints for the common lands. I'm wanting some common lands for mana fixing, but preferably not all ten of the Tranquil Cove cycle. I'm wondering about downshifting the Thriving Heath cycle from Jumpstart to common. They're clearly strictly better than Meandering River etc, but so is everything these days.

How does this compare to other common lands in different circumstances?

  • In a deck with no use for white mana, say a black-red deck, this is like Evolving Wilds - with the important exception that this doesn't trigger Revolt.
  • In a two-colour deck including white, this is exactly Meandering River - i.e. strictly worse than Tranquil Cove.
  • In a black-red deck with a white splash, this is much better than a plains: it's whichever of Orzhov Guildgate and Boros Guildgate you'd rather it be. Almost comparable to Nomad Outpost.
  • In a white-black deck with a red splash, this is also rather good similarly, but not as good as Nomad Outpost: if you draw this and 3 Plains, you'll probably have to set this to make black not red. Still good, but not enabling your splash any more.

I think uncommon would be the most natural rarity for these in a booster-draft product, but the game would survive having them at common, so I'm going to try them there.
