Connecting the themes of the (Blue-red archetype) and (Blue-black archetype). But bleh, so many words...
I'd like to have the simpler version which is just a rare Knightmare Equipment with "You control equipped creature" (plus some other small bonus) and some way to attach it to other creatures Bloodthirsty Blade-style. But for all that the series has a lot of changing loyalties, and a lot of mecha, it definitely doesn't have a mech that you force people into and it makes them work for you.
Good premise though. Simpler might be "gain control of target creature with CMC less than or equal to that of an equipment/artifact you control". Or exchange control, like a bribe. Or if being temporary is important "enchant creature with CMC less than CMC... You control enchanted creature". Not sure if any of those would actually work though.
Exchange control is definitely something I want in the set; I was planning on that being the simple Hostage Exchange.
But yes, you're right, this could just be "Attach target Equipment you control to target creature with CMC less than or equal to that Equipment's. You control the creature for as long as the Equipment is attached to it."
