Just to check: if you transform it by paying , you stop processing the rest of Brimstone and continue processing Hailstone, correct?
Also, I suppose this Transforms in your hand as opposed to on the stack? Because it will transform when you pay the cost, and, officially, the card won't be on the stack yet... that's the last step of casting a spell.
@cmeister2 I believe that's correct. That's the intent, anyway.
@jmgariepy That would be bad, because it would revert when it changed zones. Fixed that.
Hmmmm. While this is clearly a reference to Fire // Ice, I have to say I think I prefer the Fire//Ice way of doing it.
Ah, I like this tweak on it. The first ability is basically an activated ability, and would be clearer written that way:
> : Transform ~. Any player may activate this ability but only if ~ is on the stack.
What's supposed to happen if Brimstone is cast with three targets, and then it transforms?
Perhaps it should read ": Transform ~. You may choose new targets for it. Any player may activate this etc etc".
...Except that has tricky behaviour because "transform" is a reversible action: people activating it multiple times in response to itself etc. Perhaps it needs "...and only if it's not been activated already"? Does that even work?
@SM: My rules state that when it transforms, its owner may choose new targets.
@Alex: I don't think it needs the restriction, but that is a common one. "Activate this ability only once each turn."
