Tempting to paste legendary landcycling onto this but I dunno.
I guess you could word it:
Legendary Landcycle (Discard ~, search your library for a legendary land)
Search your library for a gate, put it into play tapped.
But that would be both more fiddly in wording, and slightly less good, so I'm not sure why you would?
Isn't Gate a land type? So every legendary Gate card will also be a legendary land card? That text is ambiguous. For that reason the preferred wording is something like Bounty Agent did:
> "Search your library for a land card that is legendary or a Gate" etc.
Regarding the cycling... it could be something like
> "Put that card into your library, and shuffle your library.
You may play an additional land this turn [if <condition>]."
or
> "Put that card onto the battlefield tapped instead if <condition>."
So it wouldn't be just cycling on a ramp spell, but be more of an organic part of the card design. The condition can be anything that works with the green themes of the set.
Clarification: I intend to make the planes represented as both legendary lands and gates. But not every gate card will necessarily be legendary, I.E. like Planar Portal. So my intent is for it to potentially be applicable to non-legendary gates, which also makes it backwards compatible with the Ravnica gate cards.
Maybe I still need to word it better to make that clear? I don't mean "legendary land or legendary gate", I mean "legendary land or any gate". Simply reversing the order of what's mentioned sort of clears that up: "Search your library for a gate or legendary land card".
I agree with you though, Vitkena, that it'd be adding wordyness for something close to redundant to add legendary landcycling to this. It'd be sort of "one less mana for less direct effect" but the point of the card sort of is to go for a more direct effect.
Edited wording to avoid confusion.
Changed to legendary.
