There's Mashup: the Gathering, and then there's this ugly thing.

Divert your eyes if you don't want to see a kitten get mutilated into incomprehensibility.

What did you mash for this one?

Karoo, Karoo Meerkat, and Alpha Myr. I approve.

The 'Myr Cat' pun, now revealed to me, is painful.

Haha! I've been a bad influence! I got to admit... mashing up is hard, hard. Some of my first stuff is... less than inspired. It does take a little while to get the hang of it. When you get there, though, it's a pretty damn good feeling.

Also, I could feel the pun on myr cat, but I just couldn't see it. Thank you Vitenka for now letting me not unsee it.

Also Savannah Lions and Gold Myr, though it ends up like I was saying with the Lions so far lost in the design as to be practically unrecognizable. A pity Cats don't have an iconic tribal theme to call their own (except maybe Tutu Cat?)

The cat tribal theme is primarily speed - first strikers and haste; I think.

Forestwalk, also. Leonin have a tendency to lug around equipment. It's kind of funny, actually. You'd think that Cats would have abilities based on grace, pouncing, falling from great distances and titanic roars. Instead, they have a tendency to get a lot of keyword abilities.

If Cats are so full of evergreen keywords, aren't those just the Magic equivalent of...memes?

CAT TRIBE CAN HAZ CHEEZBURGER

It should go without saying by now, but this card is so wacky that attempting to give it a color indicator fails.

Mmm. That's because it's using the land frame, not the white frame. You could get it if you explicitly selected the white frame.

The colour indicator is explicitly tied to the frame in use, because that's precisely what colour indicators do: let a card have a frame other than what might be automatically determined. But it's tricky with coloured create lands, because you ideally do want them to have a frame that looks land-y, but also to look coloured. I had this problem in Sienira's Facets with Rejuvenation Spring and a couple of others, and as I discussed on that card, this kind of land rather wants a set of frames all to themselves.

All that said, I guess if people want to apply a colour indicator to a coloured-land frame, I could let them - it's unambiguous which colour indicator to use - so I should.

There you go, have a colour indicator. You silly person.

color indicator does away with the need for the first line of rules text too
