Adding a few cards that weren't in my initial shortlist but I've realised there are gaps. Somehow I managed to not include any counterspells.
[Edit: OK, I was wrong: there's Icy Demeanor. Still, most Wizards sets include one expensive unconditional counterspell - Icy Demeanor - and one cheap conditional or narrow counterspell, which is this slot.]
Filtering out those that deal with Contraptions and those that cost , these are my options:
