Vitenka, I think I asked you before but I can't find that comment now. Why do you do your mana costs backward?
Also, I like this effect. I know what it's going for, though the wording is a bit confusing.
Uh, it's just the way the costs sound to me. The card is black, so I cost it as B. Does it need more b? No. Ok, it does need to cost more though, so I tack on the 1. I know it's wrong that way round, though.
And yeah, couldn't find concise wording for it. I liked the idea of bidding up for card draw though. Should probably tap, or have some other cost in addition, though.

Do you want "If a player would draw a card using an ability of ~"? Or did you put the "instead" on there by accident?
No, it's deliberate that you can pre-empt. It's an auction - I say "I'm paying 1 life" someone else says "Nope, instead I'm paying 2" etc.
Agree with 2011 Vitenka, though. This should tap. Otherwise, you draw as many cards you want for 1 life each, after your opponent is sick of drawing as many cards as they want for 2 life each.
"Whenever" abilities only trigger after the event, so that's why it doesn't make sense if you actually want to pre-empt the card draw.
This card is awesome :)

Also, what exactly is 'The Measure'? I'm intrigued by the name.
You probably know this, but this is way too much for a common card
