Decided I didn't like the original (which landstripped opponents decks until they ran out, then got bigger)
This is simple and the world needs more terrors.
bb2->2bb
Can this be made any cheaper? It wants to be on a middling sized body, and have a terror attached - so probably not. But 2bb is an expensive terror with a probably-not-very-useful body attached.
I think it's probably still very good at the current cost. A 2/2 isn't very impressive by itself, but it seems to usually be really useful when you get it along with something else.
This seems about on a par with -- or slightly better than -- similar creatures such as Nekrataal. (It probably shouldn't be "destroy target creature" without a "non-X" clause.)
Yeah. I guess it can be non-artifact. There's Red and White ways in-set to deal with scary doom artifact man.
I agree the world needs more Terrors. So I'd propose this should be uncommon, not common, so that there are more of them.
mmm, possibly, but I have a rare slot to fill :)
Hmmm. What to do to this to make it rare. Admittedly Dark Hatchling was rare, so perhaps just bump up the cost, p and t each by one would do.
I think this is one I'm happy to stick with as it is. It's not stonkingly powerful,; but there's trade-off reasons why you might prefer it (it's a LOT cheaper, but its body is smaller and it doesn't forbid regeneration) I agree, it doesn't need to be rare - but it's also fairly unusual and I don't want to accidentally all the terror effects :)
Maybe just making it 3/2 would be enough. Though that's Slayer of the Wicked and still uncommon. Hmm, oh well.
Needed juicing, land destruction matters - and this does seriously nice things for the elimintation of man-lands which is a thing that needs doing. Problems - he's now a REPEATABLE terror, if you've got some land destruction to go with him. Flavour still fits the existing name - this guy LIKES ruins and demolished crypts and lurks in the destruction, waiting to feed. ... Not very DFish though.
Swap this wuith Arnok; which wants to be rare, while this wants to be uncommon.
