How about that for a templating of the minerals?

Not sure what affect they should each have, but they should have something.

Seems... to work, at least. I'm not very keen on the memory issues though. Ten turns down the road, seems rather likely to lead to "So this creature had the blue and black mineral? And this one only had another copy of the black... or was it the red...?" If you made the cost "Exile ~" then it could sit attached to the permanent as a reminder.

Yeah. Was thinking of adding tokens to represent it, exile is probably simpler.

A counter would also be a fine solution.
