This card is way too good for common. Lets change the bonus
moved to the cheap removal slot
I'm not sure this is the best way to use pray.
removing from set skeleton
contested with Seraph of the Devout
removed from set skeleton
I do like the use of thopters to help defend against angels
Changed to a mythic angel, 2WW -> 4WW, 2/2 -> 4/4, removed from skeleton
Having the legends be the cover cards accomplishes two things. First, it defines the colors of the decks. If the White Mythic or the Red Dragon were the cover cards it wouldn't communicate that the decks are two colors as well as having a two color card on the cover. Two, its more clearly defines what the decks are about. In the green/white legend that's playing lots of creatures, gaining lots of life, and feeding on life gain. The red/blue card should reflect the values of the science deck, namely the transmuting of artifacts into other resources, controlled chaos, and the graveyard.
I like that it interacts nicely with the "we want artifacts to go to the graveyard" angle of the deck as well as the "now what to do with a lot of artifacts in our graveyard" angle.
re-add "or" that seems to have been accidentally removed
Typically the card on the cover is the splashiest rare, not necessarily the legend. Is Faith's legend splashy enough for these to be the cover cards?
Out of the four, I think this is the strongest contender. We need an end game and with the Solid defense the other deck can get, this can deliver it. Plus this and the dragon are a solid synergy.
Note, Holy Harbinger has been changed to a different design.
@Doombringer: Does that mean you want this in the mythic slot rather than The Holy Harbinger?
If so, I could see that - if it becomes an Angel, too.
That is almost exactly what it was. I still have no idea whether that was even an intentional change.
The power here is directly proportional to how easy Worship ends up being. No matter what I think it could be a 1/1.
4 Mana is a bit absurd. Maybe, add two mana in any combination of U or R to your pool? That way it produces uu or ur or rr.
Also contesting the UR legend slot. I like this because it lets you potentially rebuy things of value through experimentation. It then gives you a way to slowly curb your wrong potential outcomes while you narrow in on what you want.
Contesting Massey, Engine Manager and Farrin the Brawler for UR legend slot.
Making artifacts is important to the deck. Dealing with (or at least diverting) big fliers is important. This might not be the exact effect we want, but a guy who comes in with a robot army is something we should be looking for.
...the name also kinda sucks, be we can work with it.
My assumption is that the legend is the linchpin of the decks. They are the cards that are most likely to be on the cover art and should convey what the decks are about. The artifact deck is essentially about alchemy. About transforming things into other things. Their legend should reflect that transformative nature. I don't really like Massey, but I don't think going in the direction of a brawler type character is correct either.
probably want say 5ish angels and 4ish "angels matter" cards
Looking at the deck, there's no real combo. There a lot of synergy, no doubt and that's the primary strength of the deck, but there's no combo to win the game. This is a control deck that attempts to slow Faith down until they can get a finisher in and I'm not convinced the dragon is enough.
I would argue that the entire point of science is to "combo off." Science as a concept is about experimentation, not prowess in combat.
Contesting with Farrin the Brawler. The more I look at this card, the less out fits. Science can't combo off and has to win through combat and needs something that can hit hard. I don't know if prowess will do it though. Maybe flying?
