I feel we need a more combat oriented legend as there isn't a lot of"going off "that science can do.

Are we sold to a sacrifice trigger. Couldn't we just make a Call of the Wild for artifacts and give him a more relevant ability like prowess to give the deck a combat finisher?

That's probably true. Can we just add to the end, "Otherwise, (you may?) put it on bottom of your library"? I personally prefer it without the may, both for wordiness concerns and for the "crazy, careless science" theme.

Recreating the card since someone else decided to overwrite it with a random unrelated card.
I personally think it would create more insight more quickly to use both variants in tandem and cut the triggered version if it does not provide the wanted gameplay.
I still want this to change the top card of the library no matter what so multiple sacrifices get a new chance at hitting.

Could we get in a habit of creating new cards, when we are creating new cards rather than overwriting them with something completely different?
That's unnecessarily rude and means we 'forget' the overwritten design.
EDIT: Doubly true since there is no reason to "replace" one idea not in the skeleton with another completely different idea not in the skeleton.

For the cost: Whatever playtests show IMO.
It would definitely be red flagged at common but could be acceptablein the right set.
I think (but could be convinced otherwise) that this is closer to Faith's Fetters than Arrest and should be likewise costed.
I would think there is a substantial difference between "can't use activated abilities" and those cards. (I was going to say arrest for promoted, but they did just make the new Faith's Fetters). This is mostly to do with new player grokability.
This still feels a bit off to me, but fair defense.
I created Tinstreet Brawl. Red gets fight and there isn't really any hexproof so it can kill anything.
