That's a big swing from where the card is now. Also are you suggesting this at the present cost?
Some UG fisherman sacrificing creatures seems wrong
What a cool card
So... I basically can't die? Especially since lifelink isn't triggered :S
Maybe he can pay to give something lifelink.
Just seems like a really niche/underpowered thing for a black enchantment to do. Perhaps it could make tokens as well?
"Damage can't be prevented" is red's baby.
I don't think it's worth defiling landfall for such a minimal strategic component.
Will you often have landfall in someone else's turn? Or is the landfall so that you can clunkily cycle this for one whenever you cast a spell in your own turn? :S
Seems ultra terrible next to the frost breath variant.
I can't tell if this needs rewording or not. Can you not just keep activating it on a different creature each turn and none of them ever untap? Or just the effect wipe as soon as this card ever untaps? (which you dont have the option not to do, by the way)
Are copies technically cast?
In its current wording you would need to give back the controlled creature every untap step. Is that what you want?
I think you should just make this a Mind Control variant with siphon for simplicity's sake.
A white hornet's nest that can beat? This seems too good for an uncommon.
yeah agreed
this is too bitsy
btw guys if you triple square bracket a card name it shows up on mouseover
i love debt of loyalty, but basing your colour pie decisions on a weatherlight rare isn't exactly contemporary
at that point it's just tribal convoke
at least as a one-off it's less glaring
IMO just give the druid lifelink or the cycling ability first strike.
cf. Debt of Loyalty
Have you considered keywording this?
Sacred (Each Cleric or Druid you tap while casting this spell pays for )
Stretching the color-pie a bit IMO... but in contrast to something like Unhallowed Pact I really like how the creature never goes to the graveyard.
Call it something like Saving Grace.
This doesn't address olbro's beef but I would consider making Lineage an ETB thing, instead of a death trigger. Potentially more flavorful ("I am Gimli, son of Gloin!" he exclaims as he steps over his father's grave to enter the battlefield) and less Haunt-ish vibes.
I also just don't think it's a very prominent mechanic in its current form. I can envision drafting a deck where half your creatures have Lineage and you might get like 1 trigger off it in the course of a game. Making it ETB would address this.
WW: Attach CW11 to target creature.
Yeah I think again with these lineage things, just so much cleaner if it's something like
'whenever a druid you control dies, blah blah'
I understand that this is changing the card, but just feels so much neater this way. I dunno, should probably try to get your thoughts on what exactly you want lineage to be, etc.
make it draw two cards (y)
is there any real point to this card though? what does an enchantment cheapener do in this set?
