yep, that would work also.
nah that's a bit off. i think it would be
"Whenever a creature you control dies, you may exile another creature card from your graveyard. If you do, destroy target creature."
although i like the idea you had of making it cleric only; lineage makes more sense flavorfully if it's about tribal allegiances
card really feels like it should use landfall if you have it in the set
but i don't think you should have landfall in the set so there's that
agreed on both counts. triggering abilities when you crack someone is good; incentivises people to do the thing they're meant to do and feels like you're getting good value from your creature
doesn't feel like a rare
I get that this is part of a cycle, but I feel as if the first part of the spell should have SOMETHING to do with enchantments
I feel like there is a better wording for this. For a start you can probably make it only creatures dying that trigger it (not going to affect how it plays out all that much... who the fuck is naturalising your enchantments). 'whenever a cleric you control would die, you may exile it instead. If you do, destroy target creature'.
awesome card. there might be balance issues obv.
Siphon feels randomly stapled on to things just for balance. It doesn't invoke any cool magic or anything. I think it should be restricted colourwise and flavourwise... 'these are the magical beings that siphon to augment their power', as opposed to 'urrr, this guy is kind of overcosted I guess we'll just give him siphon'.
Creatures that have cool effects that trigger on damage are one of the funnest things in magic, for me at least. Good feels. There doesn't appear to be too many in this set. Perhaps try to come up with some good ones that involve the keyword mechanics.
THIS IS OP
i like that idea too
siphon is risky territory. traditionally mechanics that give downside to the casting player - even if in exchange the cast is costed much more aggressively - haven't gone over well
i'm having a hard time visualising this as a tower
Flagged for move to uncommon, pending testing
