Counter target spell, and probably frobble the opponents deck, maybe get another spell out of it? As a minimum, the latter clause needs a may (No, I won't skip pasty your land for you) But it still doesn't seem all that mythic.
99% of the time, It's just Cancel, admittedly, the rare times where you counter a big spell with this and draw straight into the win-the-game sorcery will be hilaroious.
How about now?
It can be used to remove +1/+1, level counters, etc. I originally had it at a cmc of 4, but realized that was too high and would probably make it useless. As for the name, it was the idea of dying healthy and in some kind of combat.
Heartmender makes me wonder if this can be cheaper. I know Heartmender is rare, but still...
Also, the name is sort of odd to me.
Hmm... I'm not sure if these feels like a Mythic rare.
Wow, that's an obnoxious cost.
Oh, cripes, I totally read that wrong. Ignore my blatant ignorance.
Uh - shock isn't a creature. My reading is that you'd have to hit them with a creature that is non-red. Which you have a chance to do, maybe, since this is very very obviously red-aggro.
Though it's also a stonking blocker; so maybe you don't.
Kind of odd that this goes away if you Shock your opponent. Of all the colors prepared to deal with this card, red seems the most capable.
Ever I guess - I don't feel that's a large enough downside for an insanely cheap card, though.
This is rather worse than Arrest, and definitely worse than Prison Term, other than the fact that it's common.
Still think wizards should have keyworded 'naff'
