Short range, so only in combat I figured - and I wanted it to be damage prevention (rather than removal) because, well, lots of other stuff goes through forcefields in the wormverse.
Panacea is one character with a huge disconnect between the potential of her power and the way we see her for most of the series. I'm wondering about having two cards for her. Initially, she treats her power as just a healer, a tweak on the Samite Healer ability. When she becomes a bit happier using more of her potential, she becomes Panacea Unleashed.

Moving over the ability that Vitenka put on Echidna due to memory glitch :) Adding some other abilities to try to make the card make sense on its own.
I agree, though some argument for red (her introduction gives someone a brain haemorrhage because she loses control).
But she does stick with the team, even if she grouses about it; she does stick up for her sister, and she does try to present, at least, the goody-goody outer. Plus all her iconography is showy and glowy.
I agree entirely with this design (even down to the mana cost), except for one thing: should she be black rather than white? She's incredibly selfish and exploitative.
Seriously? That's not been the rules since... at least 15 years ago. We've spoken about this before...

The leader of New Wave, and mother to Laserdream and Shielder who each inherited her powers but with a more precise focus.

One of the two children of Lady Photon. Laserdream has good flight and laser beams, her brother Shielder has good forcefields, their mother has both.
How to represent protective force fields? Quite a few capes have something similar so we'll probably end up using a few different takes on it. Here's one idea, but I'm not especially attached to it. It does give Flechette's power something to work against.

I could let dragon herself be an artifact creature too, I guess - Colin's Dragon-Unchained from the end? It'd be hilarious to have the mythic variant just be a sit-at-home picket-fence and baking pies version.
Turn 5 you attack with her. She has vigilance. If the opponent blocks, you then tap and use the charge counter in combat to win the combat. Otherwise, she's untapped. Opponent attacks with a 2/2. You block on her, then tap and use the charge counter to win the combat.

add "attacks each turn" as discussed
Was originally red, for the whole "Sets things on fire" angle.
I'm also tempted by
: Birds have +1/-1 UEOT. Because obviously bird-tribal needs a hard counter ;)

Make white; we know nothing about him, and most birds are white. Could be blue, if there's a blue hole.
See Cherish.
This be her 'after death' state - a hundred times more deadly; a hundred times harder to use.
She's out for revenge. And pretty much clear cut evil.
She could be red; but I'll go black. No; actually; I'll dueal her. This is the red one.
Sorcery restriction as a vain attempt to balance.
We don't find out much about her motivations - just that she's independent and the system tries to crush her.
Mayybe would be better as a +/- to P/T, instead of outright control?
See Panacea Inhibited for my reasoning.

remove Crawler's ability to his own card. make her green.

I could be persuaded either way, really.

Well, it's not MY fault they changed the rules while I wasn't playing :)
Red and green both get intimidate - red even more than black does. Spectral Rider provides dubious precedent in white. Fear is a different mechanic: compare Razortooth Rats or Gluttonous Zombie with Bellowing Tanglewurm or Bladetusk Boar.

Oh, I thought tapping removed you from the combat.
Should probably be 2/2 rather than 1/2 to make the vigilant attack worth it though. Either that or come down to 2 mana.
Okay, I'll spell it out.
Turn 3 you cast her, turn 4 you charge her up.
Turn 5 you attack with her. She has vigilance. If the opponent blocks, you then tap and use the charge counter in combat to win the combat. Otherwise, she's untapped. Opponent attacks with a 2/2. You block on her, then tap and use the charge counter to win the combat.
