Kor Cartographer is the flavor idea here.
Oops, meant spawn and nontoken.
i dunno if i count him, getting the type as errata isn't really the same thing imo
That honor goes to Ihsan's Shade, long before there was enough of a rules structure that Mistform Ultimus could even be a concept.
yeah that would really bug me if i cracked a pack of BFZ. would literally be the first shade to not have the shade ability
That's a bad idea.
Shades without the shade ability? Is that really necessary?
multiplayer games aside, this will always be on, so the cost reduction is pointless.
1) That's not a blue restriction 2) That's hardly even a restriction at all on such an aggressive creature.
I think this should clearly be "basic plains". I'm not super thrilled with white land fetching in general though.
creatures with deender aren't all that likely to attack. Maybe "target creature loses defender UEOT"?
This is almost certainly not a common.
oh yeah good point, I thought it said whenever a nontoken creature dies for some reason
4 mana is way too low a price point for this. The choice on their behalf is essentially mandatory, because unless they give up a permanent (which had better be a noncreature or else it simply triggers again), you get to keep repeating for as much mana as you want until they do.
So now all creatures on both sides are essentially Vindicates for you, until you get to the point where you have the mana to unleash your wildest dreams.
also just in general this is a cool card because the abilities mesh together so nicely
haven't read through the spoiler so i don't know if this is the first time you've spun spawn in this way (did you mean to call them eldrazi drones? making them spawn probably preferable for consistency) but this seems like a really good natural progression for the mechanic. i like that the spawn strategy is now more nuanced than "play spawn generators", means you can build archetypes around it
but ultimately if you're using the spawn for pretty similar reasons then it's not going to feel completely different, i think nailing that would really set you apart. not sure what you could do that isn't "ramp into eldrazi" though
