That name made me think the mutate effect would be something way different. Probably was that, too.
Extra turns on a mutate trigger sounds beyond mythic.
Clone on a mutate trigger actually would make for a good mythic candidate.
There is some inherent tension here. Mutating means you are more likely to consolidate your cards into a single pile. On the other hand another mutate pile may be a worthwhile creature to copy.
Small for a Leviathan. Equal to the smallest (non-Segovian) ones, but on Ikoria, where the Cats are humongous, I feel like a Leviathan should overshadow them.
Great to mutate! :D
Simple design yet fits well into the set.
I like the little Insect token theme you have here. Mana fixing seems a good plan to have for a set that presumably follows original Ikoria's three-color foot steps, but the little creature token is also great mutate fodder.
This card in particular might even just return a card with mutate to your hand (or an efficient gold card that you now can fix for). Really flows well into each other.
The card's name reads a bit too much like a creature card.
Sure blows Arc Runner and Lightning Elemental out of the water.
Have we gotten this far yet?
just a 5/1 now
