I really like ancestry, but if I were designing it, I would be tempted to broaden it so that you could do some neat things with it. I made Bloodline Shaman and Bloodline Breaker as examples. This gives the mechanic both a simpler version and the ability to make more complex cards that utilize it.
A really neat mechanic, imo. As Link said, you would have to a word other than attach that works from exile. Only thing I could come up with is change the mechanic name to Descendant and have the reminder text say: "..you may exile a creature card from your graveyard as an ancestor to this card, if you do..." but then, Ancestry sounds a lot cooler.
I also think you can save text space by saying "When this creature enters the battlefield... if you do, this creature gets +1/+1 and..." i.e. Unearth Dregscape Zombie, Haunt Absolver Thrull, Transfigure Fleshwrither, etc.

LivesByProxy is correct. Reminder text doesn't utilize card names.

For formatting purposes, "protection from green" should be all lower case, i.e. Blood Knight and friends.
ancestor is now used as the term for a creature attached to a creature through the ancestry mechanic.
Ah, I misread it because of the nonstandard syntax. My apologies.
