Well, you might already have got a few... but yah; this is more than a little bit above the curve.
As for the rest of it - wave beam goes through walls. Representing that as first strike? Maybe? I could see trample as a possible alternative.
If this isn't always a windmill first pick, there's something seriously busted in your limited format. I don't think this set is meant for drafting, but power levels should still be respected.
For what it's worth, Bonesplitter is kind of busted. There's a reason why we haven't seen it reprinted since 2003.
It's not that either of these cards are too good. Not for constructed at least. It's just that in a draft, you automatically first pick Bonesplitter, presuming there isn't a bomb in the rare slot. If a card is almost always the best pick, then you aren't forced to make interesting decisions and draft becomes boring.
Bonesplitter seemed fine though, for where it was: surrounded by other great pieces of equipment in a set about artifacts. If this set features a lot of powerful artifacts, and especially powerful equipment, then maybe it's okay (since then it isn't a guaranteed first pick.) Risky, though. Definitely needs testing.
This is super busted. Compare Jousting Lance
I think I'm fairly happy with it as it is now. Do you think such a change is necessary?
Yeah, this looks like about the right spot. One of the costs could come down to
if you wanted, but I think
/
is probably fine too.
Or you can take a page from Trap Runner, which solves the problem by making it an activated ability. Just add non-flying:
: Target unblocked attacking creature becomes blocked. Activate this ability only during combat after blockers are declared. (This ability works on creatures that can't be blocked.)
I think it's fine now; it's usually going to be worse than Greatsword but it's got the potential to be much much better in some situations.
Personally, I'd not run it (Equipment that costs
/
? That'd better be Loxodon Warhammer) but it's got potenital.
I made it cheaper. You think that's good, or...
