I wanted this to have a flavour that he's giving creatures pheromone-imbued harnesses or hats or something, so I want a different name. At the moment the name sounds like he just gives people drugs...
But with a more flavourful type given the set has several such.
A natural reference to Brass Gnat (which was itself a reference to Brass Man). If this turns out to be too good, it could turn into a reprint of Brass Gnat.
On the one hand, this is just a minor tweak on Wild Griffin or Ronom Unicorn. On the other hand, this would go straight into several casual decks I have as an evasive maindeckable Disenchant. Is it too good? Compare with Cloudchaser Eagle and Kor Sanctifiers.
Some nobles have lower-CMC effects that aren't actually Hierarchy but work with the same kind of feel.
A powerful effect that's not been printed before; vaguely reminiscent of Last Laugh or Kaervek the Merciless. (Actually, probably closest to Goblin Sharpshooter.) Also works well with Deathtrap on the Baron's troops like Baron's Grunt.
Trying to give each colour a common answer to artifacts, without actually including the word "artifact" in too many rules texts. This is a natural tweak on Paralyzing Grasp for a set like this.
:)
Trying to give each colour a common answer to annoying artifacts. Black is obviously hardest, but this is simple and vaguely works. This is a tweak on Nettling Curse or Curse Artifact.
For the moment I'm going with Camruth's idea but upgraded to a Harm's Way / Carom effect: the equipment turns the creature into a Zealous Inquisitor. This is an effect white has got several times (see also Shining Shoal, Kor Chant, Refraction Trap) but I don't think has ever been on an Aura or Equipment. Perfect!
I've tweaked the flavour slightly to make it feel more like an artifact and less like an aura.
That's quite a nice idea. I could definitely go with something like that. Thank you!
