Oooh. "Choose X" is fun!
Alternate name: Whims of the Wilds This is supposed to be how Starlyle kills Lord Birchtorn. Birchtorn is pursuing Starlyle, who has decent distance, but Birchtorn is quickly narrowing the gap. Starlyle fires arrows from Lunar Tusk (her signature weapon) and they seem to be in disarray- more distraction than desire to hit. It's a gamble and Starlyle intentionally his branches in trees ahead of Birchtorn so that a branch falls on Birchtorn and pins him to the ground. Starlyle destroys Birchtorn's spear Fir Branch before she encloses on the Lord and kills him by stabbing an arrow through his neck.
So the total number of counters that can be removed is X, not X counters per permanent. I want to be sure my wording is correct.
Thanks. I was brainstorming more ways to care about tapped creatures this set.
Oh I like this
Increased cmc from 4 to 5. This damage is high, but with +1/+1 counters likely to be going around late game, I'm hoping the ability is okay at common. I also restricted the activation to sorcery speed for complexity
Now nonland permanent instead of permanent
Goeatia's to Goetic
I was wholly unsure of how adjust the word to an adjective, so I had opted for possessive.
Shouldn't this be "Goetic Footnote?"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goetia I did consider using a more generic term like "grimoire" as well.
