Hares: Midsized. Militant, fast, trained fighters. Usually sword wielders. GR
Badgers: Large. Strongest creature in the universe, usually a ruler/legendary figure. GR but only cuz salamandastron
Squirrels: Small to midsized. Evasive. Should have reach. Good with bows. Green
Shrews: Small. Tribal, aggressive. Proficient at navigating, sailing. Good w rapiers. UG
Otters: Midsized to large. Evasive strong swimmers. Good w slings. U
Mice: Small to midsized. Central heroes are often mice. Lawful Good. White/Green/Red maybe
Dormice: Small. Abbey dwellers, NPCs. White.
Moles: Small. Woodland/abbey. Tunnelers so maybe construction or something as flavor. WG
Foxes: Midsized. Cunning. A lot of mystics are foxes so shamany things. Sneaky. UB
Rats/stoats/weasels/ferrets: All. General boneheaded henchmen. UBR
Eagles/hawks/falcons: Large. Fliers, fierce. Alone, legendary figures usually. WR
Snakes: Large. Evil, solo. Poisonous, constrictors sometime. GB
Owls: Large. Few and far in between. More intellectual and less fierce than eagles. WURG
Ravens/crows: Large. Flocks, cruel. Fliers. Black
Cats/pine martens: Med/Large. Usually evil, claws. B
