This is better, but it also leaves holes. Does this just stop the extra draw? Does it prevent effects?
Also mechanically, it might be preferable to have this relate to the draw step, since that was the main problem. Also this would likely be written as The first card each turn, not just having a threshold of 1...
Maybe: If a player would draw a card that was not the first card they have drawn this turn, instead they don't
this is overpowered
At a 3 drop, i could see this, but not how it is.
you forgot that this would prevent them from having a draw step at all. Maybe: If enchanted player would draw one or more cards besides their first card drawn each turn, they draw no cards instead
would be better and more fair. That could fit in blue for sure, and at 3 drop
I feel like blue would never be mean to the draw step, it's their favorite! Also their philosophy is all about equal playing grounds, but mechanically this might have precedence, just this seems to strong off the top of my head
I suppose your right, white does like to shut down stuff early, so maybe I shouldnt' have pushed this to be reactive at all, it's fine as it is. Also i like the throwback, although this is significantly more powerful. much so.
I missed that my first time, but it might wanna cost 4 or so, it's still pretty good, but not bahroken
I like this. Sort of like, whenever something dies under your care, you will feel their pain sort of thing.
Alternativey rather than dealing with specific numbers, you could up it's cost a little bit and say (which imo would be more interesting) Whenever a creature enchanted player controls dies, that player loses X life where X is that creature's CMC
if you were to take that, it might need to be a 4 drop
see Vryn WingmareThalia, Guardian of Thraben white does this sometimes... I also thought it would be cool since thalia is on innistrad, and curses are on innistrad, i could do a cool throwback card like this. I see what you mean about it though. Being reactive is probably more white in this case. However white can be SUPER oppressive if it tries. Still, thanks for the feedback :)
i didnt mean it needed to cost more as it is. I meant that it would be a better tribal card if you were to make it cost 3 CMC AS WELL AS have it drain 3 life rather than just 1
Such small drops are rarely tribe-leaders. If you want to change that, go ahead, but I'm not sure why you would want to
I decided before making this set I needed at least one sort of tribal card. I decided this was probably the best way to do that. I see what you mean, but this set is going to bend the rules, just a little bit, probably. as for cmc i think 1 mana is fine power-wise. It only is doing 1/turn on its own, and if it costed more, it couldn't really LEAD curse decks like i want it to.
I like this synergy piece, but also it would only ever work in this set.
It might be a bit more thematic to make this a 3 drop which drains them 3 at end of turn... it would be more powerful, larger and just be more curse-like. I mean 1 health per aura? meh.
It might also wanna be rare, as it is uncommon works thouhg
This is interesting.
i know white loves life gain, and black can do it but only by hurting people, and i know orzhov loves doing its own thing...
I don't know about this though, i like it, but i dont know if it would be printed? Also i think curses should always be rare or higher. But maybe uncommon could past. this might wanna be rare though, a bit of a boring one, so i guess you could put it to uncommon just for fan service
I could see blue and green, maybe even red flavorfully doing curses, and im should implementing them mechanically is only a matter of creativity. Any colors gets enchantments, and any can get auras (though to my knowledge white and red do them best) so im sure even though white and black do curses best, other colors can as well. for 15 cards im pretty sure it being just black and white would get pretty boring. your choice
threshold effects might be better suited in white. They have all the outlined boundaries, blue is more flexible.
It is also significantly worse with this inversion, maybe 3 drop would be fine? 4 might be a bit overcosted even
will fix
you are right i just kept thinking about Spirit of the labyrinth
Very nice. It's sort of inverted Psychic Paralysis but for spells

i will edit.
This would be quite loud for a 2 drop even if it were symmetrical, so i think this set might have a bit higher of a mana curve then you first thought.
i like it this way, maybe too good idk
yes, it is incredibly strong, i will tinker with the numbers to get it right on power level with the other cards, being targeted and all.

I like this. It could also be red. if you are going to branch out into those color.
Probably not common, common nevers gets repeatable anything
I like this. A bit blue. Maybe to be white it could be: Enchanted player's spells that target permanents you control cost more to cast?
