Set millennia after the egress of Bolas and the Gatewatch, a group of ruin divers head to retrieve a mystic McGuffin of all importance from the ruined plane of Amonkhet. There they find that a cosmic evil, escaped from a seal that decayed in the absence of the Gods, has taken control and warped the plane into a twisted, sinister version of itself come nightfall. In order to secure the McGuffin, our heroes must brave the trials of the Gods as initiates did way back when in order to gain the knowledge and strength needed to overcome this unspeakable evil.

At the end of enchanted player's turn, each other player gains life equal to twice the number of untapped creatures enchanted player controls.
This set has some really cool tropes. It's actually packed with them.
As much as I think the vanilla cards with fiurnal are unexciting, the more egregious and hard to evaluate it gets on other cards. And the flavor is not even really there.
another +1/-1. I don't think diurnal really works. It's too artificial and doesn't really interact meaningfully with the rest of the set - it also tries to do transforms job with less success.
Flavor text is really the best way to make common reprints part of your world, and it works nicely here.
Not a Curse?

It's weird that this could just as well say "nocturnal" and wouldn't be nonsensical.
I like the way uncover in red is paired with discard costs to simulate rummaging.
Auras returned to the battlefield this way automatically attach to a anything they can attach to. The current wording basically just makes this card unable to work with e. g. Curses since those say "enchant player".
I think "return up to one target Aura card from your graveyard to your hand or the battlefield" might be nice. Being optional just so you aren't ever forced to return a Pacifism variant to attached to Kefnet's Runebinder.
A simple and evocative design. I like it.
