Well, maybe. Divination has been obsoleted before - Mulldrifter. And Vision Skeins isn't exactly a powerhouse. This is more justifiable, though I wouldn't bat an eyelid at 3U/1U sorcery either.
And now its strictly better than Divination. It should probably cost four cmc with overload 1u to not be better than Vision Skeins.
Needs a power/toughness; but yeugh. It might be unblockable; it might just be vanilla? At random? That's not gonna be fun, either to play or to play against.
A special 6-sided die used to choose a random color. It still has values 1-6. Each side represents a color or colorless.
I hadn't seen the "assemble as flipping an artifact" before, that makes a lot of sense as a possibility.
made Sorcery
the design space of 3- and 4- color lands are so narrow that I stop caring if one is better than the other. Nor common all-color lands.
the order of the effects mean that you can recover an artifact and assemble it at the same time.
Hm.
and
can reanimate artifacts for 4 mana, certainly (Argivian Restoration, Refurbish). Can
? Prooobably, yes.
I assume there are going to be enough assemblable artifacts at common for the second mode here to make sense? At the moment the only Assembly costs I see are
or
, which makes paying 4 and a card to assemble two artifacts... somewhat inefficient.
Or is the idea here that you'll only ever use this for the Refurbish effect, but occasionally you'll get a free assembly or two out of the deal as well? I guess that's okay.
Hee. Fun.
discount on both halves as well?
Curious that this is strictly better than Vision Skeins and Inspiration simultaneously. Well, in fact, if this was just a Vision Skeins/Inspiration split card that'd be fair enough, but this is a full
Hmm. I worry that this cycle are a bit too much better than Rupture Spire/Transguild Promenade. They're certainly stonkingly much better than Arcane Sanctum/Mystic Monastery.
Umm. Is that a 2/5 with a tap ability to become a 5/2 trample?
If you're dead set on the word "Sorcerous" then I don't mind it too much, but I really think "(Sorcerous,
:" looks better than "(Sorcerous, Pay the cost:". Compare reminder text for kicker (Into the Roil), multikicker (Apex Hawks), outlast (Disowned Ancestor), etc etc. They all include the specific varying cost inside the reminder text.
Cute.
