. Maybe try something more flavorful? I realize you want to trigger Clegg's ability with this card, but dealing direct damage that isn't loss of life just isn't very black.

Do these Gold tokens have the Lotus Petal ability? If so you'll need to include the ability in the text. "Whenever a Pirate deals damage to an opponent, put a colorless artifact token named Gold onto the battlefield. It has "Sacrifice this artifact: Add one mana of any color to your mana pool."
Now you have the problem of there being too much text.
Haste is secondary in black, but this definitely doesn't feel flavorful. I would try something more in-color-pie that makes it both blue and black. As it stands right now there's no reason for blue to be there.
