The activate ability is mono-red, and only exists in red's part of the color pie.

Without looking at the reprinted cards, it looks like that this deck is mostly U/B evasion/direct damage, with a subtheme of tapping, gold tokens, storage counters, and land-based shenanigans. I think all of these themes are great but could use some expanding upon or work better together. It feels like the Gold tokens gained with the commander's ability could be used to fuel a specific engine or be used to power out big sea creatures, UNLEASH THE KRAKEN style. Storage counters is an interesting subtheme but the payoff is just okay. I'd like to see more support/payoff cards for those subthemes. Gold and Storage counters are a little harder to support, but tapping (Crew?) is interesting.
Not only is this just "island/swampwalk" in this deck, but the wording is incorrect. If it can produce colorless mana, does it gain basic landwalk? There's no good way to word this card that makes it unambiguous without mountains of text. Probably easier to just discard Island/Swamp.
Not sure why this is black. The only real precedent you have here is Indulgent Aristocrat, Urge to Feed and arguably Drana, Liberator of Malakir, which do flavorful things to buff up a certain tribe. Since you're using Storage counters and Gold tokens, maybe sacrificing one of those instead of tapping might make it a little more interesting? Something like:
", Sacrifice two artifacts named Gold: Put a +1/+1 counter on each Pirate you control."
Making it somewhat similar to Syndicate Trafficker.
