Interesting. I'm almost positive I had a no-more-lifegain card in the set at some point, but it appears to have been removed somewhere. Curious. Should probably try to bring one back in.
Secondary note, testing last night showed that this needs a double-white cost. And that Trusted Coverage is nuts in it's initial design.
Dan identified a problem with the initial template (target creature you control) during testing; it's a card you want to use to get rid of a big problem, but it effectively costs you two cards to make it happen, and it'll only finish the job some of the time. If you have a 4/4 and I have three 1/1s, the old build was garbage.
This new template helps to make the card much more effective at digging you out of a hole (a position a Crossblight-heavy deck tends to be in with all the sac effects). It also helps to quell some I the early criticisms that the set didn't have much obvious removal, as this is clearly upwards of a 2.5-for-1.
A new name would probably tie the whole picture together better though...
Is there a really strong RDW deck in the format or something?
Where my Sulfuric Vortex at?
I'm not sure if I've just been misreading this card all along or if this is something you changed, but maybe this should be "target creature you control deals damage..."?
I'm not suggesting that because of power, though this is more or less a Searing Blaze'd Blood Feud, I just think the idea of a "Rage Bomb" and it's presumed affiliation with the Crossblight would mean this is more of a suicide bomber action.
Cost had to go up; testing showed how much of a house he is, and it wasn’t even funny.
Overhauled again. No evidence.
I like the combination of evidence and sacrifice.
This way, people may not realize that you still have to equip it to gain the benefit. Otherwise, whatever it's already attached to remains equipped.
