? The passing back and forth as well as the ebb and tide both feel blue... I'd almost argue mono-blue, citing Tidal Influence as precedence, but I'm sure the color pie police would come after me for that one.

Man, Jack, you've been busy! Well, I'm no longer concerned that this set wouldn't have enough cards in it for it to be relevant.
I'm trying to figure out what's going on with Magus over here. I get the buyback thing. I just don't understand the 'restricted to 8 lands' thing. Are you seriously concerned about 9-cost spells? Or maybe casting a 3-cost spell 3 times per turn? (Oh, also, I'm assuming this should be Instants and Sorceries and not 'spells'. But that's just a typo, I'm sure.)
But the token isn't a puppet, it's just named Puppet. Also, shouldn't a puppet master be able to manipulate more than one puppet at a time? This is more of a puppet amateur.

I wanted a variant on "run away in the nick of time". This is obviously quite niche since your creature is gone anyway, but it's hopefully a useful answer against some things, eg. fizzling opponents spells, or creatures which trigger on damage.

I think licids work better as flip cards and flip cards work better as licids, since there's the cue of "is it attached" to help remember which way up it is.

Taken from Pain Magnification. A little too close to the base card. Sometimes that happens I guess. Still makes a nice rider enchantment for the occasional Bloodthirst deck, though.
First reinterpretation of the new set! Based on Wall of Light. My first thought was to make this card an instant... but once I realized that I was just remaking Fungal Spores, I went back to a Creature-Wall.
I assume that if you attack with a 4/4, and the Wall of Light blocks, that you can't do 4 to the Wall of Light. Game-wise, I don't like that, though flavor-wise I guess that makes sense. Maybe if there were enough Energies it could be keyworded and join the odd ranks of creature types that automatically come with a mechanic, like wall or flagbearer.
