Hmm, this kind of reminds me of my "Husk". There I was playing around with the idea of having new "colorless colors" that are defined by the use of a new type of a basic land type.

The new five different types basics are / related to snow, desert, energy, enchantments, and artifacts:

I'm using certain symbols differently from how they're supposed to be used, which some might find frustrating, but they are mostly just used as a representation, i could have done the same thing with random letters in the mana cost. I chose to keep it simple
